Registration: on the way to 2018 and 2019!

2018 figures and 2019 registration conditions
For numerous runners world-wide, the end of registration sounds the bell for the beginning of the real adventure. Since 2003, the organization has set up registration conditions with both a points system, that the runners must have already acquired during qualifying races, and a draw. This system ensures that the runners have the necessary experience in order to participate in one of the UTMB® events, and that the races are run in the best possible conditions (quality, security and with respect for the environment). This year, for each of the races, despite the qualifying points, the draw was severe: The UTMB® 219% full ; The CCC® 184% full ; The TDS® 127% full ; The OCC 345% full. So as to have a reasonable success rate in the draw, the organisation has chosen to add 2 qualifying point to the OCC. If your name has not been drawn, specific registration conditions are reserved for you for next year (coefficient of 2, registration without the draw). We invite you to read this newsletter to find out the 2019 registration conditions. Have a good preparation.

2019 registration

The period of registration for the 2019 UTMB® will be from December 18th 2018 until January 3rd 2019. The main changes for the 2019 UTMB® concerns the qualifying points for OCC and the conditions of registration for elite runners for CCC®/TDS®/OCC according to their ITRA performance index. The principal of the coefficient of 2 and registration without out the draw remain the same.

In the case of an unfavourable draw result
If your name has not been drawn, specific registration conditions are reserved for you for next year. More information in our 2019 registration conditions.

2019 qualifying points
This year, for each of the races, despite the qualifying points, the draw was severe: The OCC 345% full. So as to have a reasonable success rate in the draw, the organisation has chosen to add 2 qualifying point to the OCC.
UTMB® : 15 points acquired between 2017/01/01 and 2018/12/31 (3 races maximum)
CCC® : 8 points acquired between 2017/01/01 and 2018/12/31 (2 races maximum)
TDS® : 8 points acquired between 2017/01/01 and 2018/12/31 (2 races maximum)
OCC : 6 points acquired between 2017/01/01 and 2018/12/31 (2 races maximum)

Registration conditions for elite runners
So that the statute of the elite in the UTMB® maintains its meaning and that there is a fair recognition of the high level athletes in the event, the UTMB®'s organisation has decided to make a reasonable rise of 10 points on the ITRA performance index on CCC®/TDS®/OCC to benefit of the registration conditions for elite runners. Here, therefore, is the new table:

  UTMB® CCC®/TDS®/OCC
  Men Women Men Women
Registration guaranteed and free >870 >770 >830 >730
Registration guaranteed but fee to be paid >770 >670 >730 >630
